What’s it all about?

In 2018 the annual World Human Powered Vehicle Championships  are being held in the United Kingdom, hosted by the British Human Power Club. The Championships have been held in Britain three times previously (2000, 2008 and 2012) and now we look forward to welcoming HPV riders from across Europe and beyond to join us for a fourth time at Betteshanger Park on the east Kent coast in 2018.

What, Where, When?

Betteshanger Park is the new name for Fowlmead Country Park, where the last UK-hosted Championships were held in 2012. It’s the same place only this time with much better facilities, in particular a new £7.5m visitor centre with much improved catering, showers and changing rooms.

The Championships will be held over three days, 13-15th July 2018. All events and accommodation (camping and motorhomes) will be on-site at Betteshanger Park, except for a possible sprint event at nearby Manston Airport (now closed!).

Online registration for WC2018 is not open yet but, when it is, will be available in the BHPC Webshop. Advance registration is essential and on-the-day sign-up will not be possible.
